I saw a show on Science Channel called \"What the Ancients Knew: India,\" and they showed this place. They spoke about how Indian architects blended artistry and mathematics to create this type of reservoir,which collected rain water trickling down the steps.
This location is also used in the Tarsem Singh film \"The Fall.\"
the place is Hampi in Karnataka.
The ruins are in an area of 26 sq km
